Twin Tunable RF Transceiver

Twin Tunable RF Transceiver
MENU

19-inch, rack-mount, two-channel, tunable RF, analog front end

The Twin Tunable RF Transceiver is a 19-inch rack-mount two-channel RF tunable analog front end designed to match with Lyrtech advanced development platforms. The transceiver covers low-band (0.2–1.0 GHz) frequencies, high-band (1.6–2.2 GHz) frequencies, or a combination of both. When it is combined with the SignalMaster Dual or SignalMaster Quad and the ADACMaster III add-on, it becomes a complete and integrated hardware and software development solution for a wide range of software-defined radio applications.

Highlights

  • Rack-mount, two-channel 0.2–1.0 GHz/1.6–2.2 GHz analog RF front end
  • Superheterodyne receiver (IF = 30 MHz)
  • Direct quadrature transmitter (IF < 65 MHz)
  • Full-duplex transceiver (allows TDD and FDD)
  • Software-selectable 5 MHz or 20 MHz RX bandwidths
  • Up to 80 dB of isolation between TX and RX

Success Stories

GEDOMIS
The Generic Hardware Demonstrator for MIMO Systems (GEDOMIS) hosts a real-time implementation of the IEEE 802.16e-2005 physical layer featuring a 2×2 MIMO configuration and a high 20 MHz bandwidth. The algorithms of the mobile WiMAX receiver were modeled with MATLAB, designed with custom VHDL and implemented in FPGA devices operating in real-time using Lyrtech’s
VHS-ADC and SignalMaster Quad. The VHDL code was integrated to the target boards with Lyrtech's own BSDK. For details about GEDOMIS, click
here or view the GEDOMIS video on the Multimedia tab.
