GSM protocol stack designed for DSP-FPGA architectures
Lyrtech's GSM software IP (GSM protocol stack) is designed for DSP–FPGA architectures that can easily be demonstrated on Lyrtech’s SFF SDR development platforms. The protocol stack can easily be transferred and retargeted at any customer-specific application or hardware.
Highlights
- Implements ETSI GSM recommendations
- Allows BTS emulation and establishing basic calls
- Targeted at Lyrtech SFF SDR development platforms
- Code is not OS specific
- Code runs on the platform’s DSP, but can as easily be distributed between the DSP and GPP
- Uses Lyrtech C64x assembler-coded GSM voice coding libraries
- Can easily be retargeted at other FPGAs
