8-Gbps raw data exchanges with Virtex-4 FPGA module for the SignalMaster Dual and SignalMaster Quad
The DRC module is a LYRIO+ add-on for the Lyrtech SignalMaster Quad and SignalMaster Dual advanced development platforms. Used on the SignalMaster Quad or SignalMaster Dual makes it possible to feed and retrieve digital data at high speeds to and from the module. The two RapidCHANNEL ports (RX/TX) of the DRC module also allow interconnecting several carrier boards or interfacing a carrier board with other RapidCHANNEL I/O boards, such as the VHS-ADC and VHS-DAC multichannel, high-speed cPCI conversion platforms.

Success stories
The Generic Hardware Demonstrator for MIMO Systems (GEDOMIS) hosts a real-time implementation of the IEEE 802.16e-2005 physical layer featuring a 2×2 MIMO configuration and a high 20 MHz bandwidth. The algorithms of the mobile WiMAX receiver were modeled with MATLAB, designed with custom VHDL and implemented in FPGA devices operating in real-time using Lyrtech’s VHS-ADC and SignalMaster Quad. The VHDL code was integrated to the target boards with Lyrtech's own BSDK. For details about GEDOMIS, click here.
